ELAC launches the new Vela 400 range in the Hastings suite
ELAC will once again be rewarding those who travel to the outermost suite of The White House with the first chance to hear new products, as we are delighted to introduce the new Vela 400 range, featuring both the BS 403 stand mounts and the FS 407 floor standers.
The challenge of superseding one of ELAC’s best-selling range of speakers ever was never going to be easy, yet ELAC has managed to not only improve but to redefine the 400 Series. Subtle improvements to the drivers have yielded significant benefits. The new waveguide for the JET 5 tweeter improves the definition of both stereo and multichannel audio and the optimised mid and bass drivers are able to reproduce high-energy transients more precisely. But the most striking change is in the stunning new cabinets. The reclined trapezoidal shape and the curved front baffle improves stiffness, whist the die-cast aluminium base incorporates a downward firing bass port which makes positioning simple in even smaller living areas.
The speakers will be run with Alchemy Amplification, which is now part of the ELAC brand. Digital music will be served by the ELAC Discovery System, with the award winning Miracord 90 Turntable satisfying vinyl lovers demands for a more traditional source. Once again Studio Connections will be providing the cabling from their Reference and Blackstar ranges. Michael Whiteside, the cable’s designer, will be available to answer your cable questions and give cable advice. Isotek EVO3 Aquarius Power Conditioning, Blue Horizon equipment supports and Artnovion Sahara acoustic panels will complete the setup.
